Welcome to Finally A Farmgirl
I hope you enjoy my patterns and I encourage you to make each stitch your own. Embrace your stitching journey and "Don't Forget to Floss".
My cross-stitching journey started when I was a young girl and has been in my family going back to my great-grandmother. It was an on-and-off hobby throughout most of my life, but it has always been a constant.
Once married and then a mother, I stitched monogamously. Stitching always brings me a sense of comfort and I consider it therapeutic. As a mother of a special needs, son with a neurologic and seizure disorder, my faith, family, and cross stitch have carried me through the highs and lows.
It was through Instagram that I became Finally A Farmgirl. I loved scrolling and watching all the beautiful designs and my dream of having a farm "finally" became a reality. That is how my social media and the business name came to be (courtesy of hubby).

In my 40s I model stitched for a few designers. I learned so much during that time and it ultimately inspired me to try my own designing. In the Spring of 2022, I designed my first pattern and opened my Etsy shop. Stitching became daily and my single work in progress turned into several.
In the Spring of 2021, I started my Flosstube channel. It was a wonderful way to meet and encourage others who are linked by this common thread. My designs are of a whimsical and primitive nature. I call it "primsical". I designed a few special critters including the most popular Matilda Mouse, Beaulah the Witch, and Jeremiah the frog. You will find a hidden mouse in most of my designs.
